Not long after kidnapping Sonic, Eggman and his forces were making there way to the lab where Amy is with the sol emerald. He and his minions were almost near the lab entrance. However, at that moment, another figure decided other wise.

Eggman: *taunting and teasing poor Sonic* What's the matter hedgehog? Are you scared of me?
Sonic: *starts crying* WWWAAAAAHHHH!!!!!
Eggman: Not to worry, you'll be a great addition to the Eggman Empire once we head back to the base, which will likely be your new home from now on. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Suddenly, a streak of fire passes right in front of Eggman and his forces.

Snively: AAAHHH!!!
Eggman: *looks down below from his pod* What was that Snively?!
Snively: I don't know sir, but it's moving incredibly fast and.... *another streak of fire passes right in-between the forces*
Snively: AAAHHH!!!
Eggman: WHERE IS IT!?

Eggman soon orders his legionnaires to regroup, but the figure appears once again. This time, the figure begins to engulf the open area with fire and scatters the minions. All of Eggman's forces soon began to panic in the hopes of escaping the flames. The figure then hops onto Eggman's pod and reveals herself.

Eggman: IT'S YOU!!! *points to the figure who is revealed to be Blaze*
Blaze: Hmph. *quickly grabs Sonic from Eggman*
Sonic: *still crying*
Eggman: Give him back!!!
Blaze: Not happening! *jumps off and sets fire to the pod's controls*
Eggman: GAAAHHH!!!! EVERYONE FALL BACK!!!!

In moments, Eggman and his began to retreat. Many of them started to catch on fire and tried to put the fires out while falling back. Their weapons were useless given the high temperatures from Blaze's attack, which caused the guns to heat up greatly. During all of this, Blaze turns back for a second attack but sees Eggman and his legion far off in their flee.

Blaze: *in her thoughts* There's no doubt that he was after the sol emerald. An even bigger twist is that Sonic is a baby all of a sudden. Could the sol emerald be tied with this incident?
Sonic: *whimpering* Bwa bwa.
Blaze: *comforts Sonic* There there, that bad man is gone. You're safe now.

Blaze decides to take Sonic with her given his current state. She and Sonic are now on route to the entrance of the lab where Blaze detects the sol emerald's presence.
