Several hours have past since Sonic and Sally were turned into kids because of Lien-Da. Although things have calmed down a bit, not everything is fine for Sonia and Manik given the fact that responsibility now rest with them.

Manik: Where are you going dad?
Sonic: Where else? I'm going to find out who did this to us.
Sonia: Oh no! You and mom can't go anywhere as the way
you are now. Someone could easily kidnap you or worse.
Sonic: Please! I can outrun anyone!
Sally: Sonic stop making stuff difficult! Sonia has a point.
Sonic: That's not fair! I...we can't be like this! I'm going whether everyone likes it or...
Sonia: NO YOU'RE NOT!!!!!
Sonic: ....*whimper* Not fair *whimper*
Manik: Dad?
Sonic: *crying*
Manik: You okay?
Sonic: I'm fine! *hits Manik's head in a temper tantrum*
Manik: OW!
Sonia: Stop it right now dad! *grabs Sonic's arms*
Sonic: *sniff* ..... *sniff* I'm sorry everyone.
Sonia: It's okay dad. *hugs Sonic*
Sally: *puts her hand on Sonic's shoulder to calm him down* Better?
Sonic: Yeah.
Sally: You should check on Manik.
Sonic: Right. *walk over to Manik* I didn't mean to hurt you Manik.
Manik: It's cool dad.

While this stressing yet heartwarming takes place, a knock at the door is heard. Manik answers the door and sees that Lara-Su, Tails, and Mina were knocking.

Lara-Su: Hey Manik, how are things?
Manik: Not so good. Hey guys. *waves to Tails and Mina*
Tails: Hi Manik.
Mina: Hmm...having some trouble in the home front? *points to the bruises on Manik's head*
Manik: Definitely.

As Manik lets the group in, Lara-Su and the others witness in shock that Sonic and Sally are small children.

Tails: What happened to you two?
Sonic: *still whimpering* I'm not sure.
Sally: All we know is that some weird energy appeared and turned us into kids.
Mina: You okay Sonic?
Sonia: Just a temper tantrum, but things have cooled down a bit.
Tails: Well it's a good thing that I brought something to turn that frown upside down.
Sally: What did you bring?
Tails: Something that I'm sure Sonic likes. I brought these with us so that all of us could eat.
Mina: Don't worry about wanting seconds. We made about twenty of them.

Tails shows a bag that he was carrying with him and shows Sonic what's inside.

Sonic: CHILIDOGS!!!
Tails: Thought you would like these.
Sonic: Thanks you guys!
Mina: No problem. Want some Sally?
Sally: No thanks, I'll let Sonic go first.
Mina: Nothing is bothering you?
Sally: Of course not.
Sonia: It's okay to let go a bit mom.
Sally: I'm fine. *whimper* Okay, I'm not fine. Why did this have to happen us?!
Sonia: Don't worry mom. We'll find a way to fix this. *hugs Sally*
Mina: Yeah, cheer up! Besides, you and Sonic have us to help you out.
Sally: Thank you.
Mina: Hey, what are friends for? *hugs Sally*

During this moment, Lara-Su and Manik talk about what has happened so far.

Manik: Any ideas as to who did this?
Lara-Su: I think I have a good idea as to who is responsible.
Manik: Who?
Lara-Su: Lien-Da.
Manik: Wait a minute. I thought she was dead.
Lara-Su: As did I, but somehow she came back from the verge of non-existence. She was last spotted on top of the castle by security.
Manik: Any leads as to where she is now?
Lara-Su: Not yet, but I managed to heighten security around the castle just in case if she pops up again.
Manik: Let's hope we can catch her.
Lara-Su: We will, and any accomplices she may have in the dark.

Meanwhile, Lien-Da is meeting with an unknown figure in a secret meeting place.

Lien-Da: The time stone fragment actually worked. Too bad I couldn't end Sonic and Sally's lives there and then.
???????: It doesn't matter if you were able to get rid of them or not. The king and queen were merely test subjects of the fragment's potential.
Lien-Da: And were the results to your liking?
???????: Sadly no, but we do know that the fragments actually work so at least we have some results.
Lien-Da: So what's our next plan of action?
???????: If you wish to carry out revenge on three of the four you despise, then you may do so. We already have enough of the time stone fragments, so do what you will with the one in your possession.
Lien-Da: Thank you kindly.
???????: Just don't get caught by that niece of yours, or else I can't help you in finding your last target that wronged you greatly.
Lien-Da: Don't worry, once Sonic and Sally are out of the picture I'll use the stone fragment on Lara-Su and finish her off quickly. After those three are gone, there will only be HIM left to deal with. He will pay for throwing me aside.
